Have your say on plans for new bungalows at Mylor Bridge

Blue Cedar Homes is preparing a planning application to build sixteen new bungalows, including five new affordable homes to be prioritised to house local people from the Parish of Mylor.

The proposed new homes will form a second and final phase of the Mylor Gardens development, a successful development that has been recently built by Blue Cedar Homes to the south of the site.

Site history

Having received planning permission in Spring 2014, Blue Cedar Homes has since completed construction of the popular Mylor Gardens on land to the south of the site. These new homes are close to full occupation.

Mylor Gardens comprises nine bespoke retirement homes, high quality communal facilities and five high quality affordable bungalows that have been successfully occupied by people from within the Parish or with a connection to the Parish.

The plot of land immediately to the north of Mylor Gardens has been earmarked by Blue Cedar Homes to continue the success of our first development. We are currently preparing a planning application for sixteen additional new bungalows, including five affordable homes.

Tell us what you think

We have launched this website to provide an opportunity for the local community to see what we are proposing for the site and to let us know their thoughts, before we finalise and submit a planning application to Cornwall Council.

Blue Cedar Homes will also be meeting with residents who share boundaries with the proposed development and have a meeting booked for 11th September with the Parish Council in order to present our draft proposals.

The site

The site (indicated on the image below by a blue line) is surrounded by the built-up area of Mylor Bridge, and to the north of the recently completed Mylor Gardens. The site lies to the north west of the village centre. It is well located for people to walk to local facilities and amenities.
